Hi, I'm Meggen, the girl behind the camera.

I was 17 years old when I got my first camera- an Olympus point and shoot that I saved every cent for. I spent those early days dreaming up photoshoot ideas of my friends in thrifted wedding gowns and finding beauty in the tiny details of life, a flowing river, a tiny flower bud, the intricacies and allure of my own mundane world. It all sounds very poetic... and it is, to imagine myself as a girl 14 years ago with a camera and a dream, running around Rockhampton with no-where to be.

Me; the ever-independent only daughter began a lifelong journey of learning all I could about photographing people, their lives as they are. Although I am at heart a perfectionist who strives for the 'quintessential family photo' my joy belongs to photographing the middle bits of your life, the messy bits, the quiet bits, the not so perfect bits.

I have been fortunate enough to be a spectator of thousands of love stories over the last 14 years as I continued to grow, piece by piece into the photographer I am today.
